Since 1990, we have uniquely served as the voice those living with Parkinson’s disease in our province. We are continually working to ensure the needs of those living with and affected by Parkinson’s disease are addressed. This could not be possible without volunteers and financial supporters.
Your kindness and generosity helps to improve the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Volunteer

Parkinson Society Newfoundland Labrador is always looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help us with a variety of different initiatives and tasks.

Volunteering is a great way to:

give back to the Parkinson’s community
earn volunteer hours for school, employment or continuing education
make new friends

The reality is that we need to fundraise to continue to meet our mandate of helping people living with Parkinson’s in Newfoundland and Labrador. About 90% of our budget comes from donations and special events. We appreciate the financial support we receive from you, our members, and your families and friends. We run a very tight financial ship here at Parkinson Society Newfoundland and Labrador. Your Board of directors has given very clear direction that every dollar must be mission-focused on supporting our members in some way.

There are many ways to support us:

Honour Donations – To recognize someone who is living with Parkinson’s or someone who has contributed to helping the Parkinson’s community.

In Memoriam Donations – To honour the memory of someone who lived with Parkinson’s.

Monthly Donor – We can process a monthly charge to your credit card.

Support our Events – Get a table of friends together and come to our Gala!

Corporate Challenge

The Corporate Challenge is a week-long pedometer-based event where teams of 10 people from different companies try to out-walk their competitors. We supply the pedometers, participant T-shirts and tasty treats at the end of the week to all participants. Winning teams receive a plaque and bragging rights.

The 2017 event takes place during the week of August 14-18.

Previously only available to Car dealerships and Hotels, in 2017 we are expanding this event to any business with 10 or more employees.
